On 12 December 2008 the Indonesia Australia Specialised Training  Project (IASTP) closed. As such, IASTP III will not be tendering anymore work and this website is now a historical website that contains background information of the IASTP III project and useful information for companies who are involved in similar programs/projects.

The Indonesia Australia Specialised Training  Project (IASTP) was a bilateral project under the Australian Government’s (AusAID) development cooperation program with Indonesia.

The Project commenced in 1995 and was completed on 12th December 2008. Phase III, specifically, commenced in April 2004 and was finalised on 12th December 2008.  The IASTP Phase III was managed by Hassall and Associates International (HAI), also now known as GHD Hassall.

GHD Hassall is an entity of GHD who acquired Hassall and Associates in early January of 2008. The Media Release for this acquisition can be found by clicking here.

IASTP supported Government of Indonesia national human resource development priorities by providing specialised short-term training and capacity building initiatives at the central, provincial and district levels.

IASTP sought to upgrade the knowledge and skills of mid-career, middle level professionals in the public, non-government and private sectors in the specific areas of: economic management; other governance; and the delivery of basic services.

Special attention was given to gender inclusive practices. IASTP targeted beneficiaries in East Java, South and Southeast Sulawesi, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Papua, Maluku and North Maluku.
